Seaboard Foods is one of the United States’s largest and most recognizable pork producers. They own and operate more than 200 farmers across the country in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado. Since the 1990s, Seaboard has been building a connected food system that produces high quality wholesome pork. This is seen in every step of the process from feeding the animals to processing high-quality safe meat, to using waste for renewable energy.
There are four different brands under Seaboard Foods including: Prairie Fresh, Daily’s Premium Meats, Seaboard Farms, and St. Joe Park.
How Did Logic Solutions Help?
A big concern for Seaboard was the security of their websites. Since Seaboard Foods is such a recognizable and well-established company many hackers attempt to attack it. Logic Solutions handled this concern by putting multiple measures in place with alerts for unnatural or suspicious activity.
In addition to security, Logic made it much easier for Seaboard to edit and manage their content by giving them WordPress CMS (Content Management System). They wanted a custom review process to send and draft pages out to stakeholders for approval before the page was published, so Logic created this for them. In WordPress there are usually only 2 statuses: drafted and published. Logic created a middle version where content could be published privately and thus reviewed easily. We also integrated their backend system for product and recipe information. We securely pass information such as personal identifiable information (PII) to Seaboard to store it.
